Are apostles the CEOs of church networks, ‘at the top of the church structure’ or is there something we’re missing when we look at this issue of apostolic fathering and fellowship in modern Christendom?

Or scatter mankind and give them new languages at the tower of Babel? How can we reconcile a deity in the Old Testament who wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah, and had His people destroy all the women and children in some cities, with the loving Christ of the New Testament?
