Finally, a new episode is up! It’s been a crazy summer–or winter here in Peru! We have S.J. Hill today talking about Romans 14 and First Corinthians 9–not judging one another over personal preferences in our walks with God, AND giving up things when we know we’re a stumbling block to others. S.J. shares some humorous and yet sad examples of what some of our ‘convictions’ do to others when we put them on others when the Holy Spirit is not dealing with them in that area. What is the difference between a conviction and a preference? How do we have grace with and for others who may not share our personal convictions? All in all, an important topic, and a must listen.

We post this rather urgent evangelistic message about eternity. Today on the podcast, Joel Crumpton shares his experience and expertise in soul winning on the streets for over 25 years, and to inmates in jail. He shares powerful testimonies of God using him, and encourages you in sharing your faith with others.
We also take the time to explain the Gospel message and just why exactly someone goes to hell or to heaven. Do you know for certain where you’ll go?

In this interview with Bryan Purtle we talk about the work he’s doing in Kansas with Tent of David Fellowship. We discuss the foundational role of apostles in the Church, compared to the title of ‘apostle’ used for other purposes. Are apostles the CEOs of church networks, ‘at the top of the church structure’ or is there something we’re missing when we look at this issue of apostolic fathering and fellowship in modern Christendom?

Christians and deliverance ministry: we wound up getting into it during my discussion with Ron Smith, director of Fire Peru while I interviewed him about the work down here in discussing our involvement with Derek Prince Ministries. We also talk about the need for living holy, sowing seeds of righteousness to the Spirit versus living in sin and growing seeds of the flesh, generational curses, and the consequences of not having sin dealt with in our lives as Christians. This week, Steve finally brings you brief updates about life and ministry in Peru and what to expect on the podcast in the near future.
The discussion this week: politics. What role is Christianity to play in our culture in terms of government? Does the Bible actually say anything about voting or not voting? What about Christians who vote favorably for candidates who hold to unbiblical values and campaign platforms? What is ‘separation of church and state’? Are believers to enter politics as a way of legislating morality, and the Gospel? How exactly are we called to make change in this world? Is the Church supposed to be changing society, or is the government?

We continue with part three in our series on God’s judgment. This part of the conversation, author and speaker SJ Hill, Dan Slavin and Steve Bremner talk about if modern day prophets are really right in assessing that God has or hasn’t decreed judgment on America. Has the Barack Obama presidency signaled the beginning of the end for America, and the world? Or are the ones ‘prophesying’ these kinds of things speaking out of frustration and disappointment, but void of God’s prophetic word? Can we have any hope, or just expect things to get worse and worse for the Church?

This week Dan Slavin & Steve Bremner continue with part two of our series with S.J. Hill on judgment. How come God saw fit to destroy the earth with a flood? Or scatter mankind and give them new languages at the tower of Babel? How can we reconcile a deity in the Old Testament who wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah, and had His people destroy all the women and children in some cities, with the loving Christ of the New Testament? We continue asking tough questions, and bring up the subject of the Nephilim in Genesis 6.

This week we are privileged to have author and itinerant speaker S.J. Hill back on the show, to discuss the taboo subject of God’s judgment. Does our understanding of judgment come from an Old Testament understanding of God’s dealings with His people? What is God’s holy jealousy? Does God send hurricanes to wicked cities? Is God temperamental with His creation, His followers, and the wicked?
Join us this week as we admittedly don’t have all the answers, but have a great discussion talking about these things with the lens of God’s ultimate character trait- agape.

Are tongues always a heavenly language, or are they only known languages–or both? Is it Biblical or even a good idea to Google search the tongues you speak to see if they are actual words in other languages? Join us today as our favorite fiery Russian apologist Dima Kurovsky shares his findings after deciding to give it a shot and see if the tongues he prays are actual words in any other languages. The results will make you laugh sometimes, but mostly encourage and surprise you–in a good way.
Hopefully the next show will be with Dan again, and will cover updates on the time in Holland these past weeks. This week’s intro: “Coming Back To Life” by Blindside

This week Dan Slavin and Steve Bremner discuss some questions and concepts many skeptics have a hard time with concerning the existence of God and perceptions of His character if He does exist. How could a perfect judge sentence an imperfect creation to infinite punishment for finite sins? Does an all-knowing God create future suffering? Why do bad things happen to good people? Is God really an advocate of slavery in the Bible? Also, we give a few updates regarding the Fire For Life Summer School and 08.08.08 in a few weeks.

Join us this week as Dan Slavin and Steve Bremner continue to talk about the controversies surrounding the Florida Healing Outpouring (a.k.a. Lakeland Revival) specifically regarding end time deception. Does the Bible really teach there’ll be a massive end time revival before Christ returns? Or will everything get worse and worse? Is good news bad news for doomers and gloomers? We also carefully go through the parable of the wheat and the tares and discuss what is true and false fruit of revival.

This week, the sacred cow killing continues as we tackle some theological questions we’ve been asked about divine healing, including: If God wants to heal, then how come He cursed people with sickness and disease in the Old Testament? Were some of the healing commands God gave the disciples only for them to do in their generation? Does Matthew 7:21-23 teach that healing ministers are apostate? Does healing the sick really interfere with God’s sovereignty? How does sowing and reaping play a part in sovereignty and divine healing?

God is restoring power evangelism to the Body of Christ in this hour, so join us as we provide Scriptures to help anchor you in the subject of divine healing, and leave you no excuse for not stepping out and laying your hands on the sick.
Does God really keep people sick in order to teach them a lesson? Does God really withhold healing from anyone who seeks Him for it? What about those godly people who’ve sought God for healing but never got it, and even died in some cases? Does Scripture really teach that God gives us something different than what we ask Him for? Join us for a sacred cow slaughterhouse as we go through LOTS of Scripture on this one area.

A message Dr. Michael L.Brown, president of FIRE School of Ministry, and director of The Coalition of Conscience preached at the FIRE For Life Summer School 2007 in Holland on eight things The Church could learn about changing society by looking at how homosexual activists have done it. The G.L.B.T. movement has brought about radical change in society without the Holy Spirit. Imagine what the Body of Christ could do if we were unified as believers to bring about a Jesus Revolution.

Don’t let the title fool you–this is not specifically an end-times theology podcast. Has the escapist mentality of the generations of Christians before us “waiting for the Rapture to happen” caused distrust of this current generation towards leadership in the here and now? If we believe things are only going to get worse, do we have any hope to see a move of God take place in our generation if we think we’re going to escape “any minute now”? Join Dan & Steve this week as we discuss how negative expectations of the end-times have really hindered the Church from truly stepping out and believing for God to do big and mighty things–TODAY.
We also give you updates on the latest with the national day of prayer in The Hague, and tackle a few other sacred cows on the popular Calvinistic view of God’s sovereignty. Check it out and be challenged!

How could we have a sacred cow barbecue and not include one of the most controversial topics of all in The Church–MONEY? This week we tear apart a couple of typical “offering verses”—passages misquoted and used to manipulate the flock of God into giving. Is tithing biblical? Does entering the ministry mean you’ve taken an oath of poverty? Is poverty a sign of spirituality? Is wealth?
