We continue our spiritual disciplines series with one more entry. This week Dan and Steve discuss the process of waiting on God. Sometimes we feel Him everywhere in our life, other times the heavens seem made of brass and like He couldn't be further away. Join us as we plow through some Scriptures and talk about how this relates to our spiritual lives on a practical basis. We also cover some brief updates. Hope you all had a great Easter Weekend.

Dan & Steve continue their discussion on spiritual disciplines, such as Scripture memorization. What is Biblical confession? What is Biblical meditation? Join us this week and find out why what you always thought these things were is probably different than what the Bible actually teaches---and NOT some weird new age practices. I apologize for the poor sound quality—I used my computer’s internal mic, which picked the fan noise from inside the machine—very difficult to remove properly in editing.

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Romans 8:14). It's a common catch-phrase used in many charismatic circles, but is the way "being led by the Spirit" commonly taught really biblical? What is the difference between being led by the Holy Spirit, and having the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16), or being a doer of the Word (James 1:22)?
Join us for an especially important sacred cow that needs to die or at the very least be re-examined for merit.

Be sure to check out this intercession-related teaching by Tommi Femrite, recorded at the Fire For Life Summer School 2007, in the Netherlands. We hear repeatedly, that this generation is a "Joshua" generation or "Daniel" generation and so forth, but what does that mean and why are those names important? If you're sitting at a desk, be sure to grab your Bible and plow through this study, and find out also just what is a Caleb spirit/mentality.

Don't let the title fool you--this is not specifically an end-times theology podcast. Has the escapist mentality of the generations of Christians before us “waiting for the Rapture to happen” caused distrust of this current generation towards leadership in the here and now? If we believe things are only going to get worse, do we have any hope to see a move of God take place in our generation if we think we’re going to escape "any minute now"? Join Dan & Steve this week as we discuss how negative expectations of the end-times have really hindered the Church from truly stepping out and believing for God to do big and mighty things--TODAY.
We also give you updates on the latest with the national day of prayer in The Hague, and tackle a few other sacred cows on the popular Calvinistic view of God’s sovereignty. Check it out and be challenged!

This is a message that Jerome Ocampo spoke in Rotterdam at the Firehouse. This was a day after a meeting where Dutch leaders came together to hear Frank Pot & Jerome Ocampo present the vision for a national day of prayer in the Netherlands.
This message is an encouragement about what God is doing around the world and a challenge to embrace what God wants to do in our country. God is moving among the youth worldwide and the Netherlands in no exception. Will you lay down your life to see God move?

Second of two parts. S.J. Hill, former pastor, current teacher at F.I.R.E. School of Ministry taught this class at the FIRE Holland Summer School in 2004. In it he kills some sacred cows revolving around religious duty compared to passionately serving the Father who’s wildly in love with His children.
These are MUST LISTEN messages.

In this week's show Dan and Steve discuss specifically what it means to fully trust God with our whole lives, leaning on Him instead of our own strengths. Also included, some important updates regarding the ministry, and we also discuss a few ways to tell the difference between when God is leading you to do something compared to when our imagination is just running wild.
All in all, a must listen.

We finally post a new episode of Fire On Your Head with BOTH of your hosts, Dan Slavin and Steve Bremner. We give a re-cap of the F.I. missions conference we were both in attendance of, as well as give some detail as to what lays ahead for the months to come for FIRE Nederland. Listen in as we pound the table and preach to each other about how a Jesus Revolution takes time and there are no short-term solutions if we want to see a lasting impact with the Gospel on the society around us.
