 This week we're privileged to have on the podcast Stephen Best, pastor of River Run Fellowship in Peterborough, Ontario, for a discussion regarding finding and fulfilling your purpose in God. It was very refreshing, and we discuss some sacred cows, such as;
Are there such things as 'divine appointments'?
Does God have a pre-arranged soulmate for each one of us?
Can we know whether we're in God's permissive will or His perfect will? Or do such distinctions even exist in the God journey?
This was definitely a fascinating discussion for me as we touched on some sacred cows.

 Since many people make New Year's resolutions that involve weight loss or spiritual disciplines to fast more, we thought we'd tackle the subject of fasting. Join us this week as David Edwards and Steve Bremner continue their series on unpopular subjects in the body of Christ:
Is it really beneficial or even necessary for the believer in the New Covenant? What is true fasting? Do we have any commands in the New Testament that we're to fast, or was that part of Jewish culture? Is it about abstaining from only food, or other things?  Christians and deliverance ministry: we wound up getting into it during my discussion with Ron Smith, director of Fire Peru while I interviewed him about the work down here in discussing our involvement with Derek Prince Ministries. We also talk about the need for living holy, sowing seeds of righteousness to the Spirit versus living in sin and growing seeds of the flesh, generational curses, and the consequences of not having sin dealt with in our lives as Christians.

 This is a message Dr. Michael Brown preached at last year's Fire For Life Summer School. We are so used to putting our confidence in political power and democracy instead of God and prayer, but we’re never going to change the nation by the arm of the flesh. If God had to tell Joshua and Paul to fear not, then maybe He needs to tell us also.
