This is the eighth, and last session we had with Bob Gladstone at this past Fire For Life Summer School. That night Mr. Gladstone gave a teaching on various different ways The Church can align itself with the Spirit of God, both corporately and in our individual lives. Included is the time of prayer and giving of prophetic words at the end by some of those in attendance.
Enjoy and be edified, and have a Merry Christmas!

Dan & Steve are finally back after a bit of a needed hiatus. This week begin a multiple part series on the topic of holiness. Is it even possible to live a holy, victorious and overcoming life, or are we always going to be bound to the sin that ensnares us? Is holiness the same thing as legalism? Can the believer still live however he/she wants, because sin has been covered by the blood of Christ? Is it possible or even likely to expect overnight change in the life of a new believer? We try tackling these issues in what will be the first of two or possibly three shows on this subject.

Join us for our second last session with Bob Gladstone at this past Fire For Life Summer School. If you liked episodes 20-23 of our podcast, you’ll probably want to listen to this class on 14 practical ways to be transformed into the image of Christ. Don’t just listen to this class, but remember to start doing these things in your own personal walk with God.

Are tongues always a heavenly language, or are they only known languages–or both? Is it Biblical or even a good idea to Google search the tongues you speak to see if they are actual words in other languages? Join us today as our favorite fiery Russian apologist Dima Kurovsky shares his findings after deciding to give it a shot and see if the tongues he prays are actual words in any other languages. The results will make you laugh sometimes, but mostly encourage and surprise you–in a good way.
Hopefully the next show will be with Dan again, and will cover updates on the time in Holland these past weeks. This week’s intro: “Coming Back To Life” by Blindside

This is a message Steve Bremner preached in Tarma, Peru on May 22nd/08 with Spanish interpretation. The subject is the Holy Spirit and specifically speaking in tongues and what doing it for extended periods of time unlocks in your Christian life. There’s a LOT more than just having Him dwelling inside of us…

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14). It’s a common catch-phrase used in many charismatic circles, but is the way “being led by the Spirit” commonly taught really biblical? What is the difference between being led by the Holy Spirit, and having the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16), or being a doer of the Word (James 1:22)?

A teaching Dan Slavin and Steve Bremner taught jointly at the 2006 Fire For Life Summer school on the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives as a result of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and as a witness for power, not just emotional goosebumps.

Join Dan and Steve as they begin a series on sacred cow theologies and doctrines in the church. What are they and how do we recognize them? Is “seek the Giver, not the gifts.” really written anywhere in the Bible? Do we really have the freedom to ignore the Old Testament because “we’re not under the law but under grace?” Or is everything written in the Old Testament to be heeded with no ifs ands or buts? Was Paul’s thorn in the flesh really a disease and if so/not, what does it matter? Grab your Bible and a pitchfork and get ready to slaughter a couple of cows with us. MOO.

Second of Two parts. Join Dan and Steve as they further discuss objections people have to the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and sharing how their private prayer language has led them into a deeper clarity when it comes to hearing from God.
Also: Do charismatics really think they’re better than cessationists? Is it charismatics or cessationists who base their theology on experience? Is it necessary to get rid of the sin in your life first or afterward? Can everyone hear the voice of God or not?

First of two parts.
Join Dan the Man and Stevie B as they share their personal experiences with the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and pretend to have answers to questions you’re probably thinking of asking:
Do people really get baptized in the Holy Spirit when they first get saved, or is it a second experience? Does tongues always come with this experience? Is it biblical to ‘tarry’ for the baptism in the Holy Spirit? What are some of the hindrances that keep people from receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit or walking in the light of it?
