Episode 48: Is It Time For Holy Fire?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 16th September 2009

Fire.jpgWhat is the fire of God?  Are we ready for it?  Do we really want it?  This week we give lots of updates on the work and ministry of Fire Peru.  Steve Bremner and Ron Smith discuss the United in the Fire of God conference of August 13-15th.  We also talk about the Sponsor a Book project, the Spanish translation of Dr Michael Brown’s “A Time for Holy Fire” /Es Tiempo para El Fuego Santo,” and for the sake of our own personal hunger for revival, ask some questions about if we, as a body of believers are really wanting the fire of God to consume us and spread through and to the rest of the world.  Visit www.fireperu.org for more info.  This week’s intro: “Fire On The Inside” by Pillar.

Episode 47: Conviction, Preference, or Opinion?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 26th August 2009

fool.jpgFinally, a new episode is up!  It’s been a crazy summer–or winter here in Peru!  We have S.J. Hill today talking about Romans 14 and First Corinthians 9–not judging one another over personal preferences in our walks with God, AND giving up things when we know we’re a stumbling block to others.  S.J. shares some humorous and yet sad examples of what some of our ‘convictions’  do to others when we put them on others when the Holy Spirit is not dealing with them in that area.  What is the difference between a conviction and a preference?  How do we have grace with and for others who may not share our personal convictions?  All in all, an important topic, and a must listen.

Episode 46: Who Goes To Heaven?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 2nd July 2009

judgement_1844.jpgWe post this rather urgent evangelistic message about eternity.  Today on the podcast, Joel Crumpton shares his experience and expertise in soul winning on the streets for over 25 years, and to inmates in jail.  He shares powerful testimonies of God using him, and encourages you in sharing your faith with others.

We also take the time to explain the Gospel message and just why exactly someone goes to hell or to heaven.  Do you know for certain where you’ll go?

Episode 42: Can a Christian Have a Demon?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 26th April 2009

christian_demon.jpgChristians and deliverance ministry: we wound up getting into it during my discussion with Ron Smith, director of Fire Peru while I interviewed him about the work down here in discussing our involvement with Derek Prince Ministries.  We also talk about the need for living holy, sowing seeds of righteousness to the Spirit versus living in sin and growing seeds of the flesh, generational curses, and the consequences of not having sin dealt with in our lives as Christians.  Click here to donate to the Smiths or learn more about the ministry of Fire Peru.

Resolution

Posted by Steve Bremner on 16th January 2009

share.jpgWe are here to bring the kingdom of heaven to the kingdoms of this world. We are not simply waiting for eternity. Eternity begins when we are born again. We are not just alive, we are called to thrive. Life for us is unending, death does not await us, for even in death, there is life The eternal is more real than the natural. We need a supernatural resolution to see the eternity inside us and to carry out our own resolutions here.

Episode 37: Is It Possible To Live a Holy Life?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 8th December 2008

Dan & Steve are finally back after a bit of a needed hiatus.  This week begin a multiple part series on the topic of holiness.  Is it even possible to live a holy, victorious and overcoming life, or are we always going to be bound to the sin that ensnares us?  Is holiness the same thing as legalism?  Can the believer still live however he/she wants, because sin has been covered by the blood of Christ?  Is it possible or even likely to expect overnight change in the life of a new believer?  We try tackling these issues in what will be the first of two or possibly three shows on this subject.

Episode 15: What was Paul’s Thorn in the Flesh?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 19th January 2008

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Join Dan and Steve as they begin a series on sacred cow theologies and doctrines in the church. What are they and how do we recognize them? Is “seek the Giver, not the gifts.” really written anywhere in the Bible? Do we really have the freedom to ignore the Old Testament because “we’re not under the law but under grace?” Or is everything written in the Old Testament to be heeded with no ifs ands or buts? Was Paul’s thorn in the flesh really a disease and if so/not, what does it matter? Grab your Bible and a pitchfork and get ready to slaughter a couple of cows with us. MOO.

This week’s intro: “Surrender” by Krystal Meyers

Episode 12: To Drink, Or Not To Drink?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 7th December 2007

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Join Dan and Steve as they tackle the issue of alcohol in the Christian walk, and Jesus the friend of sinners–including the alcoholics and boozers. Does it matter? If so, then why? Is it cultural? Does the Bible encourage or teach abstaining or moderation? Does the church really “reach the lost” in bar settings and pubs? Are we doing enough to reach out to the marginalized in our society?

Join us for these and other questions we pretend we might have answers for, and see if we can offer some middle ground and define where the line of balance might be.I apologize for the sound quality–I was using a different mic than normal, and could not get rid of the ‘echo’ when reducing background noise no matter how I tried. But that shouldn’t hinder too much, eh?

Your Life Is Not Your Own

Posted by Steve Bremner on 15th October 2007

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usThe title kind of says it all. Listen and stir yourself up. If we’re going to be a radical people who bring about a Jesus Revolution, there are some principles that need to be understood–we’re not advancing our own agendas–we are following in the footsteps of the one who owns us–Jesus Christ.
