Join us again as Steve Bremner talks with missionary Mark Burgess about the necessity of discipleship, but also the practicalities. An important point that seemed to be emphasized is that you influence and teach people in your area of influence, and should not exclude yourself because you’re not a "clergy member". We are ALL called to make disciples!
Is the church service the most important thing a pastor should be focused on? What about his or her sermon? Did Jesus teach his disciples they must have a splashy web page on the internet? How does accountability fit into the role of being discipled and making disciples? Is it possible to be discipled by the pastor of a large mega church through media such as internet and books? Listen and be challenged as we discuss these and other points that came up in the discussion.
Join us this week as we discuss evangelism and missions, with Brother Kamal, who has a fiery passion for winning souls, and has been seeing wonderful fruit among muslims in closed countries. Hear some staggering statistics about how much work there still is to be done before Christ returns, and re-learn the overlooked--if not forgotten--key to winning peoples hearts in any culture. This week's intro: Good Sons by Starflyer 59
Join us this week as we discuss sharing the Gospel, evangelism, and share lots of testimonies of recent experiences in Peru together, with Leno Dukic, a fellow FIRE International missionary. If you are not sharing the Gospel and winning souls, why not? Listen to this episode and get stirred up.
This week we're privileged to finally have Gregg Montella on the podcast. Gregg's a world traveler, adventurer, mission-minded young man whom God seems to open amazing doors for. We talk about what it means being 'salt of the earth', a Russian worship music project he is producing, different methods and styles of sharing the Gospel and being all up in peoples' messes in a good and loving way. You don't want to miss this show. This week's intro: "Here I am Send Me" by Delirious.
We post this rather urgent evangelistic message about eternity. Today on the podcast, Joel Crumpton shares his experience and expertise in soul winning on the streets for over 25 years, and to inmates in jail. He shares powerful testimonies of God using him, and encourages you in sharing your faith with others.
We also take the time to explain the Gospel message and just why exactly someone goes to hell or to heaven. Do you know for certain where you'll go?
This week's intro: "Save Me From Myself" by Brian "Head" Welch
This week we conclude with the second part of our interview/discussion with Dima Kurovsky on being called to the workplace. Are some people fulfilling pastoral and clergy roles who aren’t called to by God? Is there a serious consequence when Christians ignore whatever their calling may be in lieu of doing something else instead? What about laziness--is it a sin? We also have Matthias Glastra on the podcast to give an update about this year’s Fire For Life Summer School in the Netherlands.
The sacred cow killing continues: Are altar calls biblical? Are head coverings really important? Are Christian women really not allowed to be in ministry or teach men? Join us as we go closer than the proverbial ten foot pole to determine what part of the cow needs to be grilled on the barbecue this week, with Dan Slavin and Steve Bremner.
This week's intro: "Fire to my Soul" by Demon Hunter
