Episode 45: Your Vocation as Ministry?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 24th June 2009

wordsm.gifThis week we conclude with the second part of our interview/discussion with Dima Kurovsky on being called to the workplace.  Are some people fulfilling pastoral and clergy roles who aren’t called to by God?  Is there a serious consequence when Christians ignore whatever their calling may be in lieu of  doing something else instead?  What about laziness–is it a sin?  We also have Matthias Glastra on the podcast to give an update about this year’s Fire For Life Summer School in the Netherlands.

Episode 44: Called To The Workplace?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 10th June 2009

1000009089.jpgThis week we have the first part of a two-part interview/discussion with Dima Kurovsky, creation apologist, ‘tongues googler‘ and friend of Fire On Your Head.  First we share some updates of life and ministry in Peru. In our discussion, we destroy the clergy/laity wall that many Christians believe exists, and lay a foundation that God has placed you where He has called you and you may have more opportunities to glorify God in a ’secular’ environment than you realize. Since statistically speaking, most believers are not called to ‘clergy’ ministry, this series is a must listen as we felt the Lord change our discussion topic and talk about this instead.

This week’s intro: “Rock the Party (Off The Hook)” by P.O.D.

Episode 33: Googling Your Glossolalia?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 18th August 2008

Are tongues always a heavenly language, or are they only known languages–or both?  Is it Biblical or even a good idea to Google search the tongues you speak to see if they are actual words in other languages?  Join us today as our favorite fiery Russian apologist Dima Kurovsky shares his findings after deciding to give it a shot and see if the tongues he prays are actual words in any other languages. The results will make you laugh sometimes, but mostly encourage and surprise you–in a good way.

Hopefully the next show will be with Dan again, and will cover updates on the time in Holland these past weeks.  This week’s intro: “Coming Back To Life” by Blindside

Episode 24: Does Genesis Really Matter To The Faith?

Posted by Steve Bremner on 31st March 2008

Back by popular demand, Dima and Auke return for a discussion on why understanding the creation vs. evolution debate should matter to the believer. Does it matter if the days of creation are literal, or allegorical? Does it make a difference to the rest of our doctrines if we don’t view Genesis as history? Join us for what will also serve as the first episode of Dima & Auke’s podcast, “Battle For Reality“. Find out how Genesis is actually key to winning our nations for Christ and removing roadblocks from many peoples’ hearts in our generation and culture.
