"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Romans 8:14). It's a common catch-phrase used in many charismatic circles, but is the way "being led by the Spirit" commonly taught really biblical? What is the difference between being led by the Holy Spirit, and having the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16), or being a doer of the Word (James 1:22)?
Join us for an especially important sacred cow that needs to die or at the very least be re-examined for merit.

A teaching Dan Slavin and Steve Bremner taught jointly at the 2006 Fire For Life Summer school on the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives as a result of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and as a witness for power, not just emotional goosebumps.

The sacred cow barbecue continues, as Dan and Steve discuss some more unchallenged doctrines in the Body of Christ at large. This week: has knowledge really passed away, along with all the other gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor 13:8)? Should prophets who are wrong only 1% the time be stoned as 'false' prophets? Grab your Bible and a cattle prod and join us as we find out. MOO!

Join Dan and Steve as they begin a series on sacred cow theologies and doctrines in the church. What are they and how do we recognize them? Is “seek the Giver, not the gifts." really written anywhere in the Bible? Do we really have the freedom to ignore the Old Testament because “we’re not under the law but under grace?" Or is everything written in the Old Testament to be heeded with no ifs ands or buts? Was Paul’s thorn in the flesh really a disease and if so/not, what does it matter? Grab your Bible and a pitchfork and get ready to slaughter a couple of cows with us. MOO.

In this week's show Dan and Steve discuss specifically what it means to fully trust God with our whole lives, leaning on Him instead of our own strengths. Also included, some important updates regarding the ministry, and we also discuss a few ways to tell the difference between when God is leading you to do something compared to when our imagination is just running wild.
All in all, a must listen.

Join Dan and Steve as they tackle the issue of alcohol in the Christian walk, and Jesus the friend of sinners--including the alcoholics and boozers. Does it matter? If so, then why? Is it cultural? Does the Bible encourage or teach abstaining or moderation? Does the church really "reach the lost" in bar settings and pubs? Are we doing enough to reach out to the marginalized in our society?
Join us for these and other questions we pretend we might have answers for, and see if we can offer some middle ground and define where the line of balance might be.I apologize for the sound quality--I was using a different mic than normal, and could not get rid of the 'echo' when reducing background noise no matter how I tried. But that shouldn't hinder too much, eh?

You can't do what you can't see; if you can't see God's destiny for the nation, then you can't do it. If you don't have it in you to see the houses, furniture, and works of art in the wood in the forest, then you will not have the energy to harvest the wood. Listen as Jerome Ocampo inspires vision and focus towards seeing this generation bring radical revival and revolution to Holland, Europe, and beyond. It's possible--can you see it?

We finally post a new episode of Fire On Your Head with BOTH of your hosts, Dan Slavin and Steve Bremner. We give a re-cap of the F.I. missions conference we were both in attendance of, as well as give some detail as to what lays ahead for the months to come for FIRE Nederland. Listen in as we pound the table and preach to each other about how a Jesus Revolution takes time and there are no short-term solutions if we want to see a lasting impact with the Gospel on the society around us.

Jerome Ocampo shares at one of the FIRE For Life summer school sessions about how if we don’t win this generation, then we’ve lost the whole battle altogether. It is now or never, and since most than half of this earth’s population is under the age of 25 it’s important we know how to reach this group. Pastor Jerome gives answers as to how to understand the digital generation, their characteristics and what our corresponding response should be.
